Self Portrait, New Years Eve on the levee

My last self portrait of 2009, I started the projects a year a go as an inspiration for a class I was teaching on the self portrait, a sophomore core class. In the end, I was able to make 224 self portraits out of a possible 365 days, if you did the math, its close to a self portrait every other day and a half.

Self Portrait ay my exhibition at MTSU

Drove to Tenn. and back again today to pick up my work at the Baldwin Gallery. It was a long trip, made longer by heavy rain in Tenn and the threat of snow toward STL.

Self Portrait: cleaning out the office

My last day in the Photoland office as I clear out my stuff before starting my sabbatical. The office is small enough and shared by other faculty who will be needing the office real estate without all my "stuff" laying about. Some of it is boxed for and ready to be moved to NOLA, like the Nesspresso machine, other stuff just stored until I return August 1.

Deconstructing the darkroom

With the new sewer pipes laid in and cemented in, and the the upcoming water proofing of the basement walls, it seemed time to rip out all the moldy drywall that was once part of the darkroom. My plan is to replace the darkroom with a print archive in the future. It was emotionally sad bit of business.
