Checking up on the winter crop of books, I was able to "harvest" only a few and planted another 12 for the winter season. The books are not decaying as fast as I thought, perhaps the lack of rain.

Tonight Rosemary and I went to a holiday party at one of my favorite alumni's family home here in STL. It was great to see Gabe and of course, her son, Hugo who could not seem to stand still for anything, but that seems to be part of the age. Looking forward to spending more time with Gabe and Hugo this summer when we get back to R.I.

I think I finally have my DSLR Remote app for my iPad working out at the Tyson studio. Here I am triggering the D800 tethered to my laptop. In the back is a new chaise lounge donated to my studio by Carol, a welcome addition to the studio.

Did a shoot today with my painter friend Carol, she needed photos of herself in the shower for a new series of paintings she wants to do.

Tom's a BFA alumni of the photo program from 1994 and was in STL for the screening of his film at the STL film festival. He's doing great stuff with his career both in film and studio work in NYC. Seeing the success of your students in their careers makes all the academic bullshit worth it.

Douglas picked out two prints from our trip together in Utah in 2011, he's reworking the art in his house. I great a lot of satisfaction having my work in the home of friends and family.

Ivan is the drummer with the Aimee Mann concert that is currently on the road. Ivan hired me to photograph the concert here in STL, he's an interesting guy and a terrific young musician. I had a great time photographing the show that night. Aimee Mann BTW, was wonderful in concert.
