Sorting out plumbing issues

 

How many trips to Lowes does it take on complete any project? More than you'd think. Plumbing the new film processing room at my house with PEX and as easy as it is compared to sweating copper pipes, the number and complexities of the fittings at times is overwhelming.

This time of year, the studio is really, really cold, like mid 30's inside. All I can do at this point is wait it out for warmer weather.

Ok, so its 2" PVC schedule 40 from the stack to the thru the wall pipe that turns into 1 1/2" PVC schedule 40 to inside the darkroom where the P trap is 1 1/2 thin wall, sounds pretty straight forward doesn't it?

I have been restricted from being on the WU campus due to COVID concerns and decided to build a small film processing darkroom in the old coal bin of my basement. I have so much sheet film from the summer that needs to be processed, like 100+ sheets. Today it involved drilling into the stone foundation to mount the supports for the sink. I am not as spray as I used to be.

Camera bellows reconditioning

 

During the winter I bring in all the lenses and some of the cameras from the Tyson studio. It's a good time to go thru it all and do whatever is needed. Today I reconditioned the bellows on the Deardorff 5x7.
