A punishing physical trip to Cinque Terre. First we had to navigate around a train strike in Tuscany, and then the 4.5 km hike up and down the trail between two of the towns. We were not mentally or gear wise ready for the push, in the heat, and it ended up effecting the rest of the trip there. I did get some good work done (see the Florence Blog for photos) but in the future, I think I'll stick to the beach and avoid the hiking.
